We are looking for a student assistant!

The junior research group PECan at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin invites applications for a position as  

Student Assistant (40 hours per month) (m/f/d).

The successful candidates will join the junior research group PECan, working on the political economy of climate policies and finance at Thaer-Institute of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (HU-Berlin) and the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK). We conduct research on politico-economic interactions of climate policy-making with the financial system and its regulation within consistent scenarios of a sustainable transformation. You will be part of a transdisciplinary project funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research within the ‘Research for Sustainability’ (FONA) Strategy.

Requirements:

●        High motivation for and interest in our research topics

●        Good knowledge of economic methods

●        Experience with standard office software

A plus would be: 

●        Skills in LaTeX and statistical software (R, Stata, Python)

●        Knowledge in environmental economics, political economics, or financial economics

Tasks:

●        Supporting our research, including literature research and data analysis

●        Supporting teaching activities, including the preparation of teaching materials
